Flower collages of Ted Feighan aka Monster Rally

March 6, 2014|Art & Design, Collage, Inspiration, Review, Top

It is always the way that when you spend ages evaluating the Top 10 plant inspired album cover artworks of all time, the very next week another one will come along that you like even more. Just try it. Anyhow, rather than update an old post Plant Curator decided to create a new one. So today we applaud the work of musician and artist Ted Feighan who goes under the name of Monster Rally when making sounds. Plant Curator knows nothing much about him, except he lives and creates in the US and has really charmed us with his work. Not only does he have music named after plants with tracks called Orchids and Roses, but he also creates lovely collages and designs with plant content, some of which he uses for his album covers. His layering and mingling of eclectic items over base images are vibrant and entertaining. They make you want to sit down with a whole load of magazines and plant photos, turn on his music, and try to copy him. Somehow we think it probably won’t turn out so well. We show a selection of his work below.

About

Plant Curator selectively collects creations to build a digital athenaeum of plant beauty and application in the arts. Designers that work in nature or plant-related fields will find inspiration for design and content here. In this way we help botanical creatives learn from other botanical creatives.
