Graphic designer Christopher Dina series of colourful illustrations titled ‘Fruit’ cleverly show some of the diversity and wonder of these plant parts. The use of the scientific name as the title only adds to the allure, as who would not want to own an artwork called Vaccinium corymbosum, for example? They are much less detailed and naturalistic say compared to traditional botanical art, but it is the simplification of the form that produces a symbolic clarity of the unique morphology and anatomy of these particular plants.
